Acupuncture Treatments:
*cupping and nutritional counseling included if applicable Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and balance by inserting tiny sterile needles at particular points throughout the body. Along with other modalities acupuncture can help the blood flow freely and allow the body to naturally get to the root cause of the pain or condition. Acupuncture also stimulates the body allowing for the release of natural pain killers such as endorphin's and serotonin; making the treatment quite relaxing. Since no two bodies are the same, every acupuncture treatment plan is specifically made for you and your condition(s). A typical acupuncture treatment consists of approximately 15 to 20 needles depending on the condition and needles retain for about 30 minutes while you relax. |
Cupping Therapy:
Cupping is another kind of treatment modality that involves the placement of glass cups along any sore muscle area. The cups are vacuum formed on the skin and are commonly used for neck, shoulder, and low back pain along with asthma and common cold/flu symptoms. Cupping therapy can promote blood circulation and relieve the “stagnation or stuck blood” that potentially causes pain.
It may produce local bruise-like mark afterward, which indicates the “stagnation” of the body. Cupping can be applied before or after the acupuncture treatment or come in just for cupping and like acupuncture can be very relaxing.

Food Therapy: " Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food" ~ Hippocrates
In Traditional Chinese medicine food is used to help stop symptoms and nourish the body so they refrain from returning. Foods are used according to its energetic effects rather than just according to its properties. Some foods are viewed as warming and nourishing while others are cooling and releasing; certain foods can even build blood and energy. Overall food therapy can be used for a common condition or symptom and can be included in an individual treatment plan made. Be well be nourished.
